Frequently asked questions and information….

  • Which dates/days can we book?

You can book any day of the week, as long as we have availability. Friday’s and Sunday’s have the most availability as Saturday’s are booked up a long time in advance. We can also visit other venues if you prefer.

  • How much is the session?

£10.00 per person, per hour or £15.00 per person, per 1.5 hours. There is a minimum of 10 participants, or a minimum charge of £100.00.

  • What styles of dance can we do?

Anything you like! Given enough notice, we can provide any dance style or music track you prefer. Popular styles and themes include:

‘Single Ladies’, Street Dance, Rock n Roll, Salsa, 70s Disco, 80s Cheese, ‘Thriller’, Moulin Rouge, Bollywood, Charleston, Musicals or we can choreograph a dance routine to the song of your choice!

  • Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes. £50.00 via BACS transfer or card upon booking. This is NON-REFUNDABLE and this deposit is deducted from the final balance. You will be given a reference to quote on the transfer. This deposit must be cleared two weeks prior to the party.

  • How do I pay the balance?

This is to be settled in cash at the studio when you arrive or via BACS transfer prior to the party. Please note that if paying at the studio on the day any ‘no shows’ will still have to be paid for.

  • What does the session include?

The session includes: Dance instructor, dance studio, all choreography for your chosen style, and music in your chosen style.

  • How long does the session last?

That is up to you. We suggest one hour for a quick hit of fun and 1.5 hours if you want to have a quick break halfway through and learn the dance slightly more in depth.

  • Will you send me confirmation of the booking and receipt for the deposit?

Yes. As soon as we have received your BACS transfer you will receive email confirmation.

  • Can we record the session and take photographs?

Yes. We encourage you to do so. Our instructor will take the photos for you and suggest poses to make the experience all the more fun! If you wanted to bring a photographer along, that is also acceptable.

  • Can we bring drinks with us?

Yes. We suggest that you bring soft drinks anyway, but if you wanted to bring Bucks Fizz or something similar that is fine. However, we respectfully ask that this is consumed in moderation as we cannot be held responsible for accidents that occur due to intoxication! All beverages must be consumed within the studio which has been allocated to the party.

  • Are there changing facilities at the studio?

We do not have a locker room or shower facilities. There are male and female toilet facilities which are at your disposal. During nonpeak times we can provide a small room with a mirror, chairs and a plug point should you wish to ‘freshen up’ and change clothing before leaving the dance centre. This is not possible between 9am-5pm on a Saturday due to the studio being fully booked.

  • Can an instructor come to another venue?

Yes, we can send instructors to other venues. This can incur additional charges if it is outside Newcastle. We have arrangements with certain bars in the city if you wish to have further information on this option.

  • Do you allow spectators? And how much does it cost?

Yes, spectators are allowed. We charge half the rate of the normal session. These places must be pre-booked so we know the numbers attending the session.

  • Is the session suitable for all ages and fitness levels?

Yes. If you let us know your age range and requirements our instructor can adjust the session accordingly.

  • Is the session suitable for someone pregnant?

If the lady is happy to dance, then we don’t see why not. Obviously, there are certain movements that our instructor would take out of the routine for the pregnant lady.

  • Can we dress up?

Yes, that is not a problem. However, on a Saturday afternoon we do have some children on the premises, so we ask that the costumes and accessories are not distasteful at this time.

  • How far from the centre of Newcastle is your Dance Studio?

The studio is five minutes in a taxi from Newcastle Central Station.

  • Is the dance teacher qualified in dance or fitness?

Yes, all our instructors are qualified and experienced dance or fitness professionals.

  • How difficult is the session in terms of fitness and difficulty?

The whole point of the dance class is to have fun!! All routines are choreographed for ‘brand new beginner’ level unless we have been told otherwise. If you would like any further information or would like to proceed with a booking, please contact [email protected].
